Creating a New Web FolderCreating a web folder is a little bit tricky. There are two stages involved. The first stage is to make a new folder with a suitable name. The second stage is to load MS FrontPage and use the program to convert the folder into a special 'web folder'. 1. Double-click on 'My Documents'. Now click file -> new -> folder. Give the folder a name. In this example it is called 'Animal Website'. (You might prefer to put the new folder inside your ICT folder, but for simplicity, I have not done so in this example.) 2. Click Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft FrontPage to load MS FrontPage 3. Click File -> New (as indicated below)
4. On the right hand side of the screen, click 'One page Web site' (as indicated below)
5. Click browse (as indicated below)
6. Single-click on 'My Documents' on the left hand, then single-click (do not double-click) on the folder that you created earlier (in this example 'Animal Website') and finally single-click on Open. (as indicated below)
7. Finally, click on OK (as indicated below)
8. Microsoft FrontPage will then convert the folder into a 'web folder', and create a page called 'index.htm' plus 'images' and '_private' folders.
